Fabien

He is all I seem to be able to draw lately. MY BAD.

But he is filled with secrets, and sometimes his arms bend back.

Violá!

SO. I tried the star child but nah I realise why I never went with it before... instead I'm doing something completely random to generate imagery.

I have 4 characters.

One, is a haughty angry lawman... think... Javert from Les Mes.
I have a ruined aristrocrat.
I have a creepy cave dwelling freaky boy thing.
And I have a magician... Fabien, who befell a terrible curse.

I'm gunna draw them all, well, segments from their really rough sketchy storylines, entwined vaguely. Mostly to do some more interiors, and see if I can develop some more stylistic ...stuff.

THIS IS MY NEW GRANDÉ PLAN.

Old stuff, voilá!

I guess I've been really trying to get to grips with photoshop... using the mouse. Eh heh, clever. Anyway, I designed a whole bunch of characters over the summer with silly features and it was very cathartic but not that productive.

Andrew Bird, The Star Child, and the library.

HELLO BLOG, IT IS I, CARLA.

Wow I have had the biggest spell of doing whatever the hell I want art wise... yeah... you don't even want to know what that entails.

But I suppose its time I get back in the driving seat. My rake's progress, I got bored. Oops.

But I'm going to see if I can tackle Wilde's 'The Star Child' from TODAY, its a great little story full of delicious imagery and I feel inclined to draw beautiful children recently.

I really want to buy loads of books but I am going to library it up and see what they can provide my unemployed brain with, and save my bank balance.

Also I just discovered Andrew Bird and the Squirrle Nut Zippers and well I was pretty desperate for new music and I madly in love with these bands already. Really gorgeous music to listen to and get the creative gears in... motion?

Motivation is hard, shove me.

Halloa!

Isn't he cuuuuuuuuuuute? I think so... about 12 here. Lonely, bored little aristrocrat. He has a dog though, a greyhound called Urian. (It means devils helper, and I've stolen it from Anne Boleyn's own hound. Muwar!)

I need to ref kids clothes and such, hmm.

Started ACTUALLY reading great expectations today... my first ever Dickens novel. I love Joe <3 Miss Havisham is amazing, as is Estella... couldn't put it down, hhngg.
