In the midnight hour, I can feeeel your power

I'm so allowed to use a Madonna song in my post titles. SSSH, NO, I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

Okay, this is my first project. Another one coming soon.

Bascially, it's about the Barghest. But, it's the Bargest in woman form... coming from the sea, she vomits out the demon dog, and then it comes for YOU.

A combination of all the old legends that are associated with it really. Not happy with the vomit scene at all, sigh.

  1. The thing is, I can just feel the atmosphere coming of these pieces of work (despite the Madonna song) - all the square framed work that is. They ooze something...
Favourite being the figure in the distance about to enter the alleyway (or narrow street). So is that one of the ones you rushed out?

The circular ones (above) are not so atmospheric, except for the one with the figure wheeling a bike up the lane. And I don't know why that is. Is it the same technique?

  2. They are much more atmoshperic, I agree. I rushed ...mostly all of them. But I especially rushed the beach scene, ,and the dog vomit. The rest I did quickly, but I like them better.

The circular ones are just plain old ink washes, and then built up with fine liner. So they're stiff, and quite a bit lifeless. I love obsessive detail and inky moody stuff, need to find some sort of balance.
